Snap Backup is The one-click backup utility for safeguarding your important computer files.  Snap Backup is open source and runs on just about any computer — macOS, Linux, Unix, and Windows.

If you encounter a warning attempting to run the .pkg installer file, click the "Done" button and then go into your Mac's Security settings to manually authorize opening the installer.

Save the install file to a location such as your Desktop and then double-click the file to start the installation.

First, download and install Java from:
openjdk.org   java

Second, save the JAR file and ReadMe.txt file to a convenient location, such as:
~/apps/snap-backup/

Third, double-click the snapbackup.jar file to run Snap Backup.  On some systems, you may need to enter the following command:
java -jar snapbackup.jar
